Identification:
Small, black postdiscal bar pointed, hindwing border with smooth inner edge, dorsal forewing borders entirely black, inner edge of forewing apical border with a bump, thoracic markings white (compare with P. parva).

Wingspan: 43-45mm

Forewing length: 22mm


Local distribution: Atlantic lowlands to 1100 m; common at Refugio Eladio.

Similar species: Hypoleria cassotis, Pteronymia parva, Pteronymia hara, Greta polissena

Species range: Nicaragua to South America

Abundance: Uncommon

Larval host plants: Unknown
