Ipomoea batatoides

Throat white with gray at base inside, calyx lobes rounded and convex, without an apical tooth, peduncle not ridged or winged, flowering in January to February, uncommon, Pacific slope at 700-1100 m, also on Atlantic slope.

Ipomoea setosa

Calyx with many 1 cm soft spines, uncommon, Pacific slope at 300-700 m.

Ipomoea trifida

Calyx lobes and stem with long hairs, corolla 3 cm in diameter, 2.5 cm long, limb white or pale pink with 5 distinct lobes, common below 700 m, abundant, Pacific slope at 0-700 m.

Ipomoea umbraticola

Throat magenta, calyx lobes short with a small tooth at apex, peduncle ridged or winged, flowering in November to December, common, Pacific slope at 400-1000 m.
