Local distribution: Most common on Pacific slope at 1300-1500 m; occasional on Atlantic slope from 700-1200 m (rarely down to 250 m). Similar species: The male is similar to Pteronymia fulvescens, P. fulvimargo, Ithomia xenos. The female is most similar to the female of Godyris zavaleta. Species range: Costa Rica to South America Abundance: Uncommon
