Identification:
Medium size, antennae orange, top of thorax with white midline, shading on ventral hindwing disc yellowish.

Wingspan: 67-71mm

Forewing length: 34-35mm


Local distribution: On both slopes down to about 700 m. Most abundant on the Pacific side at 1300-1500 m.

Similar species: Dircenna chiriquensis, D. relata, Ithomia xenos, Napeogenes cranto

Species range: Mexico to Panama

Abundance: Common

Larval host plants:

Solanum chrysotrichum
Solanum rudepannum
Solanum umbellatum

Early stages: Solitary
