Thick black borders, bold black bar in forewing discal cell, hind margin of forewing mostly orange above.

Wingspan: 63-67mm

Forewing length: 32-34mm


Local distribution: Río Guacimal valley at 600-700 m. Peñas Blancas valley at 700-800 m.

Similar species: Dircenna relata, Ithomia xenos, Napeogenes cranto, Pteronymia agalla

Species range: Mexico to South America

Abundance: Rare

Larval host plants:

Solanum chrysotrichum
Solanum rudepannum

Early stages: Solitary
