– yellow and black on forewing variable
– hindwing discal bar variable

Wingspan: 52-53mm

Forewing length: 27mm

Local distribution: Atlantic slope from about 400-800 m elevation.

Similar species: Hypothyris euclea, Pteronymia agalla

Species range: Nicaragua to South America

Abundance: Rare

Larval host plants: Solanum aphyodendron

Early stages:

Comments: Recorded once at San Gerardo (1100 m) and once near La Tigra (450 m).
